Notice About Recruitment Scams Impersonating Giti Tire

Recently, there have been reported incidents involving organizations falsely claiming to recruit or give offers on behalf of Giti Tire. These communications, claiming to either work for or be affiliated with Giti, notify individuals that their qualifications were found suitable to work as an employee (local or expatriate) for Giti. Later in the process, they will send an offer letter and then request the transfer of money to pay for fake visa fees, work permits, or others. The creators of these scams have even gone so far as to make fake Giti-branded websites, based on the design of real Giti ones to make them appear more credible.
Please note that such communications are fraudulent. They do not originate from Giti Tire, nor are they associated with Giti’s recruitment process.

Giti Tire does not ever ask for money or payments from applicants at any point in the recruitment process. All individuals who are successful in gaining an offer of employment from Giti are always required to go through a formal recruitment process.

Here are some ways to identify that the communications you received may be fraudulent:

1) They use a generic email address, such as gmail.com or yahoo.com, instead of an official Giti-associated e-mail address extension.

2) They associate Giti in communications or offer letters with another (usually fake) company name - for example, Ozee Tyres.

3) All communication is by email, instead of by phone or in-person.

4) They give an offer letter without a full interview process.

5) They use incorrect dates, poor English, and/or other information that seems unusual.

6) At some stage money is requested.

Please be sure to protect yourself against potential financial loss, and we recommend to not respond to unsolicited business propositions and/or offers from people with whom you are unfamiliar. Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know. If you receive such proposals, you may contact your local police station and provide them with all information you may have from the senders, including email addresses, phone/fax details, etc.

If you have further questions about whether a communication claiming to be from Giti Tire is real or fraudulent, you can contact e-marketing.int@giti.com with the example email that you have received.
